Biography

I am an intellectual historian of modern European thought with聽a focus on politics, philosophy, and religion in twentieth-century聽France. My dissertation, 鈥淭he Discovery of the Sacred in Interwar France: From Contestation to Cooperation, 1919-1941,鈥 examines the emergence of mutual intellectual projects and hybrid community bonds that formed between a network of Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, and feminist thinkers between World War I and World War II. Major themes include phenomenology, Hegelianism, Thomism, political theology, and human rights. My scholarship has appeared in the聽Journal of French and Francophone Philosophy, the聽Catholic Historical Review,聽European History Quarterly, and others.聽聽
